Arrest warrant issued for father of missing child
Contributed….On January 2nd, 2013, a Mauston mother came to the Mauston Police Department to report her child, d.o.b. 04/23/2010, missing. She reported that she had a court order dated September 24th, 2012 which required the child’s father, Kevin J. Tadder, d.o.b. 08/11/1977, to return the child to her on September 27th, 2012, and that the child’s father had failed to return the child to her as required. On January 21st, 2013, the mother advised the Mauston Police Department that she had not seen her child since August 16th, 2012, and that she had spoke with the child’s father on three occasions in the last week; that he had told her that he was living in the Sparta area, but that she did not believe him. As part of their ongoing investigation into the matter, the Mauston Police Department entered the child and a description of the father, Mr. Tadder, in the National Registry of Missing and Abused Children on January 22nd, 2013, and referred the matter to the Juneau County District Attorney’s Office later that same day. On January 23rd 2013, a criminal complaint was filed by the District Attorney charging Kevin J. Tadder with interfering with custody by withholding a child beyond custodial rights, contrary to sec.948.31(1)(b), a Class F Felony. A felony warrant was issued for the defendant’s arrest and efforts to locate the father, Kevin J. Tadder, are ongoing. Tadder is a white male with blue eyes and brown hair. He is 6-foot 1 inch tall and weighs 170-pounds. The City address on the criminal complaint is Altoona, Wisconsin.
