Argument at fast food restaurant
A Mauston man was arrested for being disruptive in a fast food restaurant. Police said Sunday night about 8:30pm an officer and three Juneau County deputies were dispatched to Wendy’s Restaurant on the City of Mauston’s east side. Investigation revealed 42-year old John Stuertz got into an argument with another customer at the restaurant. Apparently someone dropped a nickel while in line and Stuertz got into a verbal argument that would have escalated into a physical altercation but his girlfriend restrained him. Stuertz threw the nickel and his ice cream cone at the other man and called him a racial slur. But the other man remained calm. Stuertz was transported to the Juneau County Jail where his Preliminary Breath Test showed .128%. Stuertz was tentatively charged with disorderly conduct.
