An Elmwood Man Arrested for OWI, 9th Offense
The Wisconsin State Patrol Tomah Post has arrested 51-year-old Gary Sueppel from Elmwood for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 9th offense. The officer was attempting to stop 3 vehicles traveling 85 miles per hour eastbound on I-90 and he requested assistance in stopping the vehicles. The officer was able to stop the two lead vehicles and a state trooper stopped the trailing vehicle. The state trooper observed the driver appeared upset and nervous. The driver was arrested without incident and taken to Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston for a blood draw and subsequently booked into Juneau County Jail. The Wisconsin State Patrol said that the charge is merely and accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
