Aluminum wire stolen
A substantial amount of aluminum wire was stolen from a construction site in the City of Mauston. Police said sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning someone removed a 500-foot roll of #2 aluminum wire valued at $450 that was setting behind a newly built garage located in the 200-block of Hall Street. The wire was still connected to the back of the garage and had to be cut to be removed. It appears the suspects used a wheel barrow to move the wire to a different location to be hauled away.
