Ginger Newlun leaves courtroom following arraignment hearing.

A Wonewoc woman, 51-year old Ginger Newlun, stood mute Thursday afternoon in a Juneau County Courtroom.  Newlun is facing charges of intentional abuse of a patient causing bodily harm and aggravated battery.  According to the criminal complaint, while employed at a nursing home in New Lisbon, Newlun allegedly harmed a patient.  During her arraignment, attorney Derek Horkan told the court his client stands mute on the charges.  Judge John Roemer entered not guilty pleas on her behalf and scheduled a pre-trial conference for April 9th, 2013 and a return visit on May 23rd, 2013.   A $25,000 signature bond was continued.
