ADRC of Eagle County Sponsoring Two AARP Driver Safety Courses
The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country is sponsoring two different AARP Driver Safety Courses. The first one will be 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 23 at the Hatch Public Library in Mauston. Another one will be 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 24 at the Elroy Public Library. This refresher course reviews rules of the road, discusses potential driver challenges and provides helpful information on how to maintain driving skills. There is no over-the-road test. Some auto-insurance companies provide a safe-driver discount for taking the course; participants are encouraged to check with their agent. A certificate of course-completion will be provided. A video will be shown on how to navigate roundabouts. The course fee is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-AARP members; it is open to anyone age 50 and over. Class fees are payable at the door. Call the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 608-847-9371 to register for either course.
