Adams man dies in workplace accident
An Adams man died Thursday morning as a result of a workplace accident. Sheriff Sam Wollin says, “At 6:40am the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a semi-truck that had struck a pedestrian at 173 3rd Avenue in the Town of Leola. Investigation revealed that an Adams man, 26-year old Robert Losey, was working around a truck when another employee, 69-year old Neil Denniston of Wisconsin Rapids, backed a semi trailer and struck Losey fatally injuring him. Losey was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adams County Medical Examiner. The crash remains under investigation by local authorities and OSHA will conduct an independent investigation.
