Adams man charged with child abuse
An Adams man has been charged with physical abuse of a child causing bodily harm and two counts of bail jumping. Police said last month 41-year old Chad Phillips allegedly got into a physical altercation with his 15-year old son at their residence in the City of Adams. Phillips allegedly flipped over a table, pushed the boy against a wall, and began choking him. A preliminary Breath Test showed .214. During a hearing October 1st, 2012, bail was set at a $2000 cash bond. At the Initial Court Appearance on Monday, October 15th, 2012, the bond was adjusted down to $350 and posted.
