Adams man accused of burglary
An Adams man has been charged with burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, and theft. The officer said last month 31-year old Kim Chavez allegedly burglarized a residence in the 300-block of Vicennes Street in the City of Adams. The victim had stopped Chavez, who was riding a bicycle, and was holding the suspect at gunpoint when police arrived. Investigation revealed two stolen .22-caliber rifles inside a case, prescription pill bottles in Chavez’ pocket, a stolen cell phone and Ipod. During a court hearing, bail was set at a $15,000 cash bond.
