An Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative utility pole was snapped in two pieces as a result of a one-vehicle accident.  The deputy said on Tuesday afternoon, March 12th, 2013, about 6pm a Madison woman, 43-year old Heide Olson-Streed was traveling north on County Road ‘G’ near Dyke Avenue in Adams County.  She lost control of the 2005 Ford Escape when the vehicle struck a snow drift.  The SUV slid up a snow bank striking a utility pole.  The vehicle then landed on its roof.  The pole and wires hung across the roadway.  The driver was uninjured.
