There was a two vehicle accident in the Town of Lisbon last Monday that resulted in injuries to six parties. According to the accident report, 23-year-old Mitchell Johnson of Mauston was traveling east on Welch Prairie Road when he failed to have control of his vehicle and struck a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jeremiah Bachim. Bachim told law enforcement that Johnson was crossing the center line and he had moved towards the ditch to avoid a collision. Johnson had incapacitating injuries and was medically transported to Hess Memorial Hospital. Two occupants in Bachim’s vehicle had to be extricated and reported injuries. Another three juvenile passengers in the Bachim vehicle had injuries and all five were transported to Hess Memorial Hospital. The accident report stated that alcohol was a factor in the accident. It is still under investigation by the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office.
