A Friendship man has been charged with theft.  Police said during a home inspection of 50-year old Rodney Haysmer’s apartment in the City of Adams in February 2013 after Haysmer had absconded, an officer and Probation and Parole Agent could only find the Department of Corrections monitoring base and not the transmitting device attached to his ankle valued at $575.00.  The transmitter is not a GPS device and is only used as a curfew tool.   An arrest warrant was issued April 17, 2013.  The defendant appeared in court Tuesday and pleaded no contest to the theft charge.  Bail was set at a $500 signature bond.
