50th Assembly District Representative Republican Ed Brooks held off a strong challenge Tuesday by Democratic candidate Sarah Ann Shanahan of New Lisbon.  Brooks received 50-percent of the vote, Shanahan received 47-percent, and Libertarian candidate Ben Olsen III had 3-percent.  In the 3rd Congressional District race, incumbent Democrat Ron Kind easily defeated Republican challenger Ray Boland.  Kind received 64-percent of the vote to Boland’s 36-percent.  In the 7th U.S. Congressional race, incumbent Republican Sean Duffy stopped Democratic challenger Pat Kreitlow with 56-percent of the vote.
