Wis Rapids man dies as a result of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident
The State Patrol said about 8:30pm Friday night 58-year old Herbert Plawman was driving east on Highway 73 near County Road ‘F’ near Plainfield when he crossed the center line and struck a west bound vehicle. Plawman was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the 1994 Chevrolet Beretta, 12-year old Brett Robus, was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield with non-life threatening injuries. The two occupants in the west bound 2000 Ford Focus, the driver 21-year old Ann Kosmoski of Wisconsin Rapids, and a passenger, 20-year old Eric Hall of Manitowoc, were also transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
