contributed…..The Tomah Police Department in cooperation with Tomah Memorial Hospital conducted an investigation where as an employee of Tomah Memorial Hospital, 54-year old Dianna Peth,  was found to be stealing and using Schedule 2 narcotics.  These drugs include Dilaudud and Morphine.

         The subsequent investigation conducted by Tomah Police Department Investigator Rob Walensky, resulted in the arrest of Peth of Tomah. 

 Tomah Police Department has referred charges to the Monroe County District Attorney: 

  •  158 Felony Counts – Fraudulent Attempt  To Obtain Controlled Substances    
  • 158 Felony Counts – Possession of Schedule 2 Narcotic Drugs
  • 88 Misdemeanor Counts – Prepare/Make Fraudulent Insurance Claims
  • 158 Felony Counts – Identity Theft – Personal  

According to Tomah Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer Phil Stuart, hospital officials contacted Tomah Police March 23, after an internal hospital process lead to the discovery of the alleged incident.  

 “Through existing policies and procedures we confirmed that the incident was solely confined to the accused who no longer is employed at Tomah Memorial.

At no time was patient safety jeopardized, and we continue to evaluate our policies to ensure that patient and staff safety is maintained at all times,” Stuart said. 

 He added that hospital officials will continue work cooperatively with Tomah Police
