The Necedah 2nd grade class sang ‘Open Up a Book’ during the dedication of the new Necedah Community-Siegler Memorial Library Tuesday afternoon. Over 100-people attended the ceremony at the new 1.3-million dollar facility built on Oak Grove Drive along the golf course. The new library opened its doors to the public on November 8th, 2010 after a successful fundraising effort that included federal, state, and local tax dollars as well as private donations from individuals and foundations. The Village of Necedah provided the land for the library and applied for a federal stimulus grant in the Fall of 2009. The matching grant was awarded October 5th, 2009.
