A Mauston man was operating a garbage truck Friday morning when it collided with a bicyclist in Lake Delton.  Police said about 9 a.m., 49-year old Roger George was operating a Waste Management truck.  He was making a right turn onto U.S. Highway 12/Wisconsin Dells Parkway from East Adams Street when the bicyclist, 18-year old Maria Kolesova, struck the truck in the front tire area.  The bicycle became lodged and Kolesova was dragged.  George didn’t immediately see Kolesova before stopping and trying to help.  She was transported by Dells/Delton EMS to the Dells/Baraboo Airport for Medflight transport but was pronounced dead before being airlifted.  Kolesova was visiting from Russia and working in Lake Delton for the summer.
