A Mauston man was injured as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Mauston’s east side Thursday night. Police said about 11 p.m. 29-year-old Andrew Webster was traveling east on Highway 82 when he attempted a left turn onto Commercial Street. Webster collided with a semi being operated by 31-year-old Jason Frye of Tomah. Frye told the officer he applied the brakes but could not avoid the collision. Frye was uninjured. Mauston Area Ambulance EMT’s checked Webster for injuries, but he declined medical transport. Juneau County Sheriff’s Department arrested Webster for OWI. Mauston PD cited Webster for ‘failing to yield right-of-way’ and fined him $175.
