The Juneau County District Attorney’s Office is recruiting businesses and non-profit organizations to provide apprenticeships for certain misdemeanor offenders.  A brown bag lunch will be held Tuesday, July 13th, at the Juneau County Justice Center 2nd Floor Conference Room over the noon hour.  A round table discussion will be facilitated by Juneau County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Terry Whipple and Juneau County District Attorney’s Office Diversion Program Special Prosecutor Sheryl Albers.  Wisconsin’s Department of Development Bureau of Apprenticeships, Kathy O’Sullivan of La Crosse will provide a presentation regarding the State’s requirements for formal apprenticeships.  Greater Mauston Area Development Corporation is also hosting.  District Attorney Scott Southworth said, “the Juneau County Diversion Program offers certain misdemeanor offenders an opportunity to get their lives back on track.”
