A former Mauston City Councilperson is seeking a return to city government.  Former  District 2 Alderperson Barbara Hoilien has thrown her hat back into the ring.  Hoilien says residents in her neighborhood have asked her to run again.  The elderly population has expressed concerns about the proposed DOT roundabout in the City.  They are also concerned about taxpayer money being used to help operate the proposed new Community Center at Veterans Memorial Park.  Hoilein is a life-long resident of Mauston.  She works full-time at Parker-Hannifin in Mauston.  Hoilien is challenging incumbent District 2 Alderman Dennis Nielsen in the April 6th Spring Election.
