WARRENS, Wis. (AP) – A family-owned company has an agreement to
buy the shuttered Three Bears Lodge complex north of Tomah.
If a judge approves the sale June 3, the Dippen family expects
to open the 93-room hotel later that month. Jason Dippen says the
restaurant and pub would open a short time later.
Dippen says the indoor water park may not open until the summer
of 2011 because of work that needs to be done.
The hotel and convention facility in Warrens closed in September
2008. Last fall, a judge approved the $14 million sale of the
adjacent Jellystone Park campground.
The La Crosse Tribune says the Dippen family also owns the
Cranberry County Lodge in Tomah.
