An Elroy man was seriously injured as a result of a one-vehicle accident over the weekend.  The deputy said 25-year old Steven Fike was a passenger in a car that flipped on County Road ‘H’ near County Road ‘S’ in the Town of Fountain.  The operator of the 1978 Ford LTD, 21-year old Justin Guenther of Beloit, was traveling north on County Road ‘H’ Saturday night when he swerved to miss two deer and lost control while rounding a curve.  Guenther over-corrected and the vehicle entered the ditch, struck a driveway, and went airborne.  The car landed on the front bumper, flipped forward causing it to twist and land on the driver’s side.  All five occupants were injured including the driver Guenther and Fike, a passenger.  The other three passengers were also injured.  They were 22-year old Trevor Tuebert from Beloit, T.C. McKinney of Delevan, and 20-year old John Vocelka of Janesville.  Guenther was cited for ‘Failure to have vehicle under control’, for ’Operating vehicle without insurance’, and for ‘Non-registration of Auto’.  His fines totaled $563.
