Chairman of the Personnel Committee, recommended waiting to fill positions
Supervisor Dave Arnold, Chairman of the Personnel Committee, recommended the tabling of filling four Juneau County employee vacancies Tuesday morning until further notice. Supervisor Jerry Niles said, ” The county cannot afford to fill these positions. We are paying too much for benefits”. The positions on hold are an Alcohol and Drug Assessment Counselor at $19 an hour, a Department of Human Services receptionist at $12.30 an hour, and a secretary in the Land and Water Department making $13.81 an hour. plus a position in the Information Technology Department that was approved last month.
