123 small rural Wisconsin school districts have been awarded almost $15 million in Sparsity Aid.  State Superintendent Tony Evers said, “to be eligible for this aid, each school district must enroll no more than 725-students, have less than 10-students per square mile of district territory, and have more than 20% of its students qualify for free or reduced meals.”  Locally the New Lisbon School District will receive $183,000 in Sparsity Aid, Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton $192,000, Wonewoc-Center will receive almost $112,000, Hillsboro $155,000, Bangor $78,000, and La Farge will receive almost $69,000.  The Sparsity Aid will be paid the third Monday in September.
