The “Look Good…Feel Better” program will be held Monday, February 6th from 1-3 p.m. at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston.  The program is free and open to ladies who are receiving cancer treatments.  Registration required at 608-847-9877.  As a participant you receive free make-up kits, program information and a rebuilt self-esteem that will help you face your treatments with added confidence.

2/6-2/11/12 Read-A-Thon Week/New Lisbon Memorial Library
The New Lisbon Memorial Library along with the Student Library Committe will be sponsoring a Read-A-Thon Week February 6th-11th.  An all day event will be held Saturday, February 11th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the library.  Participants will enjoy games, prizes, pizza and community guest readers.  Pledges may be made for flat rate donation or per minute read.  Pledge sheets and information available at the library.  Open to area children through 8th grade.  Proceeds benefit the New Lisbon Memorial Library Remodeling and Expansion Fund.

Participate in fun Winter Hobbies Saturday, February 25th beginning at 9 a.m. at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.  Learn how to tie flies, create wildlife themed cards, scrapbook pages, wild quilt squares, carve wooden birds, trapping, skinning, and make pinecone birdfeeders.  Snowshoe hikes at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Mingle with volunteers and Refuge staff.  “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic For Our Time”  will be shown at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Free lunch served by Friends of the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge.  Open to the public.
